COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR 2021
September 1, 2021
The health and safety of all who attend the 2021 UnitedHealthcare US OPEN is our top priority. Given the recent rise in COVID-19 Delta variant infections, the US OPEN Executive Committee felt it was important to create the safest possible environment at the tournament so all can enjoy. At the same time, we wanted to create a policy where EVERYONE who wants to attend the US OPEN, as a player or spectator, has a clear path to do so. To that end, please review our complete COVID-19 policies.
As you will see, the quick summary is that masks will not be required at the event, however, they are recommended when not playing, eating, or drinking, especially if you are not vaccinated or may have natural immunity from a prior COVID-19 infection. As you will see, everyone in attendance (players and ticket-buying spectators) will be required to attest to one of three criteria for participation and be prepared to show proof of compliance if requested to do so. Please read the document in its entirety and direct any questions you may have to ganim@mac.com.
