IRF and USA Racquetball Announce San Antonio, Texas, USA, as Location of  XXII International Racquetball Federation World Racquetball Championships

Colorado Springs, CO – The International Racquetball Federation and USA Racquetball jointly announced today the site of the XXII IRF World Racquetball Championships.   

The IRF World Championships, August 23-31, 2024, will take place at the Thousand Oaks Family YMCA in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Athletes from around the world will arrive the week of August 19 to prepare for competition that will begin after Opening Ceremonies are held on August 23rd.

Sponsored by the Texas Racquetball Association and the Alamo City Racquetball Association, this excellent YMCA facility has hosted many Racquetball events on its four courts. "We are honored and excited to host the XXII IRF World Racquetball Championships. Our state-of-the-art facility has been a proud host to numerous Racquetball tournaments, including prestigious professional tour competitions. We extend a warm welcome to athletes from around the world and look forward to contributing to the success of the championships," said Veronica Wong-Rizo, SVP/Chief Engagement Officer at the YMCA of Greater San Antonio.

IRF President Anibal Osvaldo Maggi León commented, “The IRF thanks those who have made and will make this next World Championships in San Antonio an exciting reality, including Sandy Rios, Dean Schear, Mike Grisz, Cheryl Kirk, the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee, and, of course, the Thousand Oaks Family YMCA.
