U.S. ADULT TEAM - BOARD OF DIRECTORS DECISIONS

On January 31, the USA Racquetball Board of Directors ratified two recommendations from the U.S. Team Committee:

  1. The USAR National Doubles and Singles Championships in May 2022 will be the sole qualifying event for the U.S. Adult Team for the 2022-23 season. This event will also add the qualifying division of Mixed Doubles.
  2. U.S. Adult Team Qualifying divisions at the USAR National Doubles and Singles Championships will be competed using rally scoring and the IRF appeal rule change.

JUNIOR DIVISIONS

Beginning at the 2022 IRF World Junior Championships later this year, 21 & Under divisions will be added. Correspondingly, our 2022 USAR National Junior Championships will include Team Qualifying divisions as follows: Esprit Cup divisions will include 10 & Under, 12 & Under, and 14 & Under, while World Cup divisions will be comprised of 16 & Under, 18 & Under, and 21 & Under.

This is great news for Junior and Collegiate USA Racquetball members! To be consistent with the newly created 21 & Under divisions, USA Racquetball will increase the age of Junior memberships from 18 to 21 effective February 1, 2022.
