The Ladies Professional Racquetball Tour (LPRT) is back in full force, with back-to-back weekends of competition featuring the world’s top female racquetball players.

This weekend, the tour stops in Herndon, Virginia, where longtime tournament director Bill Milbach will lead operations alongside support from local players. The East Coast event promises to deliver another exciting weekend of elite play.

Several U.S. athletes are set to compete in Virginia, each with momentum and storylines to follow:

Kelani Lawrence (No. 8)

Lawrence is aiming for a breakthrough performance after consistently reaching the quarterfinals during the 2024–25 season but falling short of a semifinal appearance. Competing in her home state, she’ll look to go deeper in the draw. Lawrence is also debuting a new doubles partnership with Maria Renee Rodriguez—one to watch this weekend.

Lexi York (No. 13)

York has been steadily climbing the rankings over the past year and recently cracked the top 15 for the first time. A strong showing in Herndon, particularly making it out of the round of 16, could push her even higher. She nearly upset eventual champion Natalia Mendez in five games last month in Pleasanton and reached the doubles final alongside Hollie Scott. York will team up with Sheryl Lotts in doubles for this event.

Sheryl Lotts (No. 15)

A former Team USA mainstay, Lotts has become a more frequent presence on LPRT draws this past year. She faced tough draws throughout the 2024–25 season, including several matchups against the top seed in the round of 16. With a few top players absent this weekend, Lotts has an opportunity to make her first quarterfinal of 2025.

Annie Sanchez (No. 20)

A recent addition to Team USA, Sanchez is coming off a strong performance at National Indoor, where she reached the mixed doubles final and the singles semifinals—earning her a spot on the national team. With more tour stops under her belt over the past year, Sanchez has hovered around the 17–20 range. She is aiming to break into the top 15 this season, starting with a strong showing in Virginia.
