Colorado Springs, Colorado -- USA Racquetball welcomes Kristin M. Wattz to the USA Racquetball Board of Directors. Kristin joins as an Appointed Member* effective immediately.

Kristin’s professional experience includes a career as a Registered Nurse turned Health Care Administrator, working with and on multiple healthcare boards and committees at the local, state, and national levels. Her responsibilities on these boards and committees involved policy development, product assessment, and selection as well as fundraising and donor recruitment.

Beyond her professional career, Kristin serves on the Board of the National Mill Dog Rescue in Peyton, Colorado. As a portion of her role on that board, she oversees the events/fundraising committee as well as chairs the silent auctions associated with many of their events. She is active in staff/volunteer recognition there as well and operates using her team building skills to provide a positive working environment in a stressful setting.

In articulating her interest in Board service with USA Racquetball, Kristin said, “I was introduced to racquetball, as a spectator, in 2017. As a former tennis player and lover of racquet sports, I enjoyed watching matches and getting to know the players. I have been a volunteer at multiple racquetball events over the last five years.”

Board President Stewart Solomon welcomed Kristin to the Board of Directors, saying, “Kristin’s professional experience and skill sets align well with the mission of USA Racquetball. She brings financial and fundraising knowledge and a strong work ethic that will certainly benefit USA Racquetball and its members. Additionally, Kristin brings an independent outside perspective to complement the extensive racquetball and business experience of our sitting Board members and staff. Welcome, Kristin!”

Kristin earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Nursing and then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University in St. Louis. She and her husband, long-time racquetball athlete Steve Wattz, reside in Monument, Colorado.
