2022 Scholarship Recipients
by USA Racquetball
For more than 30 years, USA Racquetball has provided student athletes with scholarships to support their higher education. Funding for the program is underwritten by USA Racquetball members, the National Masters Racquetball Association, and the Women's Senior Masters Racquetball Association through tax deductible donations to the scholarship fund. Since the program's inception in 1990, a total of more than $75,000 has been awarded to 110 individuals.
This year, fifteen worthy high school and collegiate racquetball players submitted applications for the 2022 USA Racquetball Scholarship. Three athletes, Annie Roberts, Heather Mahoney, and Josh Shea, were each selected to receive $700 scholarships.
Annie Roberts is a sophomore at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, majoring in Health and Exercise Science.
Heather Mahoney is a senior at Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, California. Heather is undecided where she will go to college but hopes to study Environmental Science.
Josh Shea is a high school senior at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, New York, and is as yet undecided where he’ll go to college and what course of study he will pursue.
All recipients will join the Real Racquetball Show on Monday, February 21, at 5:00 pm MT to talk about their achievements and what the scholarship means to them. Tune in and watch on Facebook or YouTube.
If you’d like to support future athletes in their academic endeavors, please consider donating to the USA Racquetball Scholarship fund.
Congratulations to Annie, Heather, and Josh!
