Des Moines, here we come!

The 2021 National Junior Championships and Adult Team Qualifying this year in Des Moines, Iowa, July  14-18, will give our juniors, the future of our sport, the chance to compete once again after missing the opportunity in 2020. In addition, we are thrilled to have been able to find a solution that will allow all motivated adult athletes the choice to compete for a spot on Team USA. A big bonus is that the junior players will have what will be perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity both to compete for the U.S. Junior Team and to watch many of the best racquetball athletes across the country compete for the U.S. Adult Team in the same venue, at the same time, on adjacent courts!

The Des Moines YMCA did a fantastic job of hosting the 2018 National Junior Championships, and we're thrilled to be going back this year. We know we will enjoy outstanding support from the Greater Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Des Moines Area Sports Commission (collectively known as Catch Des Moines). The Iowa Racquetball Association has jumped in as well to help make this a successful event.

In addition to the Junior Team and Adult Team Qualifying divisions, we will be hosting a celebration to recognize the All-Americans, and the Adult and Junior National Team members. While the traditional banquet is not an option this year, these recognitions are important, and we are working to arrange something special. Details will be announced when plans are finalized.

Who isn’t looking forward to watching these athletes get back on the court! Please tune in to watch our first National Championships contested and streamed in over a year.
