The World Outdoor Racquetball Hall of Fame is proud to announce the induction of Kevin Booth and Greg Freeze as members of the Class of 2026, recognizing two competitors whose careers helped define generations of outdoor racquetball.
Both Orange County natives, Booth and Freeze became fixtures on the courts of Southern California and at Outdoor Nationals, where they spent decades competing against the sport's greatest players while building legacies of excellence, sportsmanship, and longevity.
Kevin Booth's outdoor career spanned four decades and multiple eras of the sport. Known for his complete all-court game, tactical intelligence, and unwavering confidence, Booth earned five Outdoor Nationals Doubles titles with three different partners and reached four Outdoor Nationals Singles semifinals. His career placed him alongside legends from every generation, from Brian Hawkes and Dan Southern to Rocky Carson and Álvaro Beltrán. Booth remained a force at the highest levels of competition well into his late 40s and 50s before transitioning his competitive focus to pickleball, where he also achieved national success.
Greg Freeze established himself as one of the most respected and consistent competitors in outdoor racquetball history. Renowned for his relentless hustle, shot-making ability, and competitive determination, Freeze enjoyed more than three decades of success on the outdoor courts. He captured the 1990 Outdoor Nationals Singles Championship, reached multiple singles and doubles finals, and maintained an extraordinary run of deep tournament finishes across nearly two decades. His ability to compete successfully against multiple generations of elite players stands as a testament to his adaptability, fitness, and passion for the sport.
While their styles differed, Booth and Freeze shared many qualities that define Hall of Fame careers: longevity, competitive excellence, respect from their peers, and an enduring commitment to outdoor racquetball. Their accomplishments helped shape the sport's history and inspired generations of players who followed.
