Last Chance to Register Your Event, 2026 WorldWide Racquetball Day!

The USA Racquetball membership committee and staff want to remind you that there is a short window of time to get your 2026 Worldwide Racquetball Day publicized to the world. The tradition is continuing into 2026 and we want YOU to be a part of it!  Participate and feel the support and love from all over the racquetball world. In 2023, 2024 and 2025, we found many new players who had never tried an organized event before. Fingers crossed that everyone will be ready to play again in September 2026, because we are planning our FOURTH Worldwide Racquetball Day September 5th (and 6h to round out the weekend). Florida, Connecticut, Oregon, Maryland Washington, California, Illinois, Arizona, New Mexico, Ecuador, Japan and Guatemala—these are the first several committed participation sites. 

Don’t miss out.  If you can’t find a 2026 Worldwide Racquetball Day scheduled event near you, create one!  There is still a little time and we can send some resources your way, if you need anything at all. 

What is it? 

Globally, we are asking as many tournament directors as are available to host a round-robin, self-refereed, no-frills tournament. Indoor and/or outdoor participants are welcome to join in the fun. A small number of players is more than okay!  If you have no courts available, get some racquetball people together for lunch!

If you already have an event planned for the weekend of September 5-6, no matter the event format, have the tournament director add it to our list of events!  Just email Jonathan Greenberg at the USA Racquetball office (jonathan@usaracquetball.com). 

What is the Goal? 

We are the USAR Membership Committee, so one important goal is to find some new members for every USA state and every country’s racquetball association. Equally significant is to create a feeling of worldwide unity of all the players and leadership of our sport. We see the USA Racquetball membership numbers holding steady since about 2023, and we hope to find non-member enthusiasts and get them connected to our community.  

Reserve the date! 

Act today; host a tournament at your local courts. Play if you don’t feel experienced enough to run one. If you are willing to learn and give it a chance, we have a whole set of tournament director tools available to help you run a local round-robin, with lots of suggestions and R2Sports help assistance with round-robin formats. Start with the Planning Tips document.  Our group of coordinators have centuries of experience and ideas to make your event great.  Call us! 

Why participate?

We want everyone to be part of the Worldwide racquetball community on Worldwide Racquetball Day.  

Who is planning to participate? 

Everyone worldwide is invited to participate. We want to know who is hosting a tournament that day, and we will add you to the 2026 world map.  We want to publicize every 2026 Worldwide Racquetball Day event across the globe and one way we will do this is by adding your event to our map.  Fill out the information via a spreadsheet in the tournament kit and send it to jonathan@usaracquetball.com. Check here to make sure your event is listed. The USA Racquetball website page for 2026 Worldwide Racquetball Day is here: https://www.usaracquetball.com/worldwide-racquetball-day

This map is displayed on USAR’s and other countries’ websites. Any player anywhere will be able to find an event that day just by looking at the map and signing up using the instructions for that location.  

The IRF (International Racquetball Federation), ERF (European Racquetball Federation) and ARF (Asia Racquetball Federation) have all held Worldwide Racquetball Day events in the past.  In Asia, China, Japan and South Korea have all had events.  European venues are mostly in Ireland and Germany.  IRF locations include Ecuador, Bolivia and Mexico.  One of the bigger USA events will be in Las Vegas, New Mexico at IRF World Seniors.  We will be livestreaming the finals matches so you can join in the fun.

Racquetball Travel?

Consider looking for a Worldwide Racquetball Day gathering anywhere in the world on September 5 and 6.  2023 and 2024 countries included:  Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Germany, Guatemala, Ireland, Japan, South Korea and, of course, many cities across the USA.  Where do you want to go?  Bring your racquet.

And What About 2027? 

We plan to have our racquets-across-the-world event again in September of 2027. The planned date will be September 11; we skipped Labor Day when lots of USA players will be on vacation.
