The 2026 EVE Promotions Beach Bash by 3WallBall is officially in the books, and what a week it was in Florida. Despite several hours of rain on Friday, the tournament delivered packed draws, great competition, and outstanding racquetball from start to finish. Once the skies cleared, the action picked right back up, proving once again why Beach Bash remains one of the premier outdoor events in the sport.

The weekend’s pro champions included Rodrigo Montoya and Javier Mar in Men’s Pro Doubles, Michelle Anderson and Anita Maldonado in Women’s Pro Doubles, and Javier Mar and Aimee Roehler in Mixed Pro Doubles.

Take a look at the recaps courtesy of Todd Boss of proracquetballstats.com

Men’s Pro Doubles

The Men’s Pro Doubles draw was loaded from top to bottom and featured a last-minute reshuffling of seeds that created several intriguing early-round matchups. One of the biggest surprises came from #14 seeds Freddy Ramirez and David Blatt, who stormed past the #3 seeds to earn a quarterfinal matchup against 14-time pro champion Kane Waselenchuk and partner Tito Montanez.

Waselenchuk and Montanez advanced to the semifinals, where they ran into Hall of Famer Robert “Iceman” Sostre and Benny Goldenberg. Sostre put on a one-wall clinic as he and Goldenberg advanced to the championship match from the bottom half of the draw.

On the other side, top seeds Rodrigo Montoya and Javier Mar had to earn every step of their run. They defeated three-time Beach Bash champions Richie Miller and Daniel Deida in the Round of 16, then moved past Rocky Carson and Charles Ramos in the quarterfinals before defeating Sam Rolon and Jason Pruitt in the semis.

In the final, Montoya and Mar outlasted Sostre and Goldenberg to capture the title. The win marked Javier Mar’s fourth major one-wall title and Rodrigo Montoya’s first.

Women’s Pro Doubles

In Women’s Pro Doubles, outdoor legend Michelle Anderson teamed up with New York City standout Anita Maldonado to claim the championship. The pair defeated Aimee Roehler and Jessica Neils in a rematch of last year’s Beach Bash final.

The title added another milestone to Anderson’s remarkable career, giving her 38 major outdoor doubles titles. For Maldonado, it was the eighth major outdoor doubles title of her career.

Mixed Pro Doubles

Mixed Pro Doubles delivered another memorable run, as Javier Mar and Hall of Famer Aimee Roehler upset the top seeds in the semifinals before cruising into the championship match.

In the final, Mar and Roehler defeated Robert Sostre and Jessica Neils to secure the title. The victory marked Roehler’s 11th career major outdoor title and added yet another championship to Mar’s impressive Beach Bash weekend.

Men’s Pro Singles

Bolivian phenom Jhonatan Flores made an unforgettable first appearance at an outdoor event in the United States by capturing the Men’s Pro Singles title.

Flores opened with a win over tough lefty Walter Ramos, then followed it up with an impressive victory over New York one-wall specialist Robert Sostre. In the final, he defeated top-seeded Daniel Portillo to complete a spectacular tournament debut.

While Flores may have been new to the U.S. outdoor scene, Bolivian players often bring valuable experience from fronton competition in their home country. Though not exactly the same as one-wall, that background clearly translated well to the Beach Bash courts.

Other Notable Draws

The age-based divisions were among the deepest and most competitive draws of the entire event, often rivaling — and in some cases surpassing — the traditional pro brackets.

CPRT 40+ Doubles

Robert “Iceman” Sostre and Benny Goldenberg brought the CPRT 40+ Doubles title back to New York City. The top seeds cruised through the draw before defeating Cliff Swain and David Blatt in an all-Northeast final.

Men’s 75+

The Men’s 75+ division featured several legends of the sport and plenty of Texas representation. Kane Waselenchuk and Matthew Barron defeated Marty Hogan and Ignacio “Iggy” Espinal in the semifinals before topping Abel Perez and Javier Mar in the championship match, 21-15.

Men’s 100+

After falling short in the 75+ draw, Marty Hogan bounced back in a big way. Teaming with outdoor veteran Richie Miller, Hogan captured the Men’s 100+ title with a win over Allen Small and Suresh Vemulapalli in the final.
